My reflection about technology in the classroom

Technology can be useful in the teaching process in different ways.

For example, you can Use videos in the classroom for two or three minutes of warm-up. It is great since it permits students to activate previous knowledge.  

Using word with colorful pages and pictures taken from Google or from your own permits student-center learning. 

      For your presentations you can combine the use of Prezi  and Power Point.  

   Microsoft Excel helps you see your student's grogress in the Cambridge E-learning platform (moddle. This is an online learning platform aimed at enhancing student's proficiency in English.   

You can also use the synchronous online communication tools, for example, instant messaging like chats and  the other ones like Face book, Flickr and Twitter.  
  

Based on the results of my self-assessment and what I learned in the video and multimedia for this week my next steps for technology are to try those tools that I am not used to. 

For example, my intention for the next semester is to combine Prezi, which is a cloud-based presentation software for exploring and sharing ideas on a virtual canvas and Power Point for presentations as well as the Animoto Video.  

I am going to feed the collaborative document creation tools I  used last semester. It is a blog where I keep the bloggers for comunicating with my students. They are better than e-mails if we have to work on a project or if they missed any information they can come back any time they need it. It is always there.

In terms of Softwares to create Audio Files, the one that I pretend to use next semester is the Voice thread https://voicethread.com/?#q.b119840.i725907. I will continue exploring this tool and if it is possible I will use it in class depending of the depth of the assignment.
